Resources and Service
The Vernon Area Public Library District (VAPLD) is your home away from home! Enjoy the peaceful reading areas, study rooms, community meeting room, preschool room and 30 computer stations. Visit the library to meet people, attend library programs and events, check out books, movies and music or find the information you need using our staff’s expertise.

VAPLD supports your lifelong learning needs. We are committed to providing cultural and educational programs and materials for children and adults. The library also has free access to Wi-Fi internet, photocopiers and faxes, homework help, reader’s advisory, voter registration, notary service and delivery/pick-up of library materials to homebound and nursing home patrons. In addition, the library is handicapped accessible and provides special assistance for the blind and physically handicapped.

Use the library’s website to take advantage of the convenient e-services available. Our website provides access to over 75 e-services to which the library subscribes, saving you the cost of doing so. By visiting www.vapld.info, you have access to e-books and audio books, research databases and newspapers, book clubs, newsletters, downloadable videos, and e-notifications.

VAPLD – We bring community to life!

Board of Trustees
The library district is governed by seven trustees who are elected at-large by district residents. Trustees establish library policies and serve six-year terms.
