Taxes and User Fees

The following taxes exist within the Village:

• Property Tax - $.229 per $100 of EAV (Updated July, 2009)

• Emergency 9-1-1 Tax - $1.50 per month per telephone line

• Real Estate Transfer Tax - $3.00 per $1,000 of sales price

• Hotel Tax - 4.0% of room price

• Live Theater Admission Tax - 1.5% of ticket sale price

• Movie Theater Admission Tax - 4%

• Utility Tax - 5.0% on gas and electric

• Cable TV Tax - 5.0% on Cable usage

• Telecommunications Tax - 4.5% on local and long distance calls

The following common user fees exist:

• Water Rate per 1,000 gallons - $4.08

• Sewer Rate per 1,000 gallons - $4.99

• Driveway Permit (replacement) - $50.00

Vehicle registration has been discontinued beginning January 1, 2007.
