History of North Park

The Village purchased the 62.5 acre site in the late 1990's to meet the needs of Spring Lake Sports League (now Lincolnshire Sports Association), the volunteer organization that handles competitive athletics for the children in the Village and within the boundary School District 103. Twenty five acres were developed into an active recreation area with extensive playing fields. The remaining 37.5 acres were dedicated Illinois Nature Preserve as an addition to Florsheim Nature Preserve.

North Park Field Updates

The flag under the United States flag, at the entrance to the park, indicates whether the fields are open for play. The red flag means that the fields are closed. The green flag means the fields are open for play. These flags are provided as a quick way of identifying whether the park is open for play simply by driving by the park.

The Village and the Lincolnshire Sports Association (LSA), also encourages residents to sign up for e-mail updates regarding the status of athletic field playing conditions at North Park.
