Salary Range $47,200 - $65,000
The Village of Lincolnshire Community and Economic Development Department (CED) seeks a professional, dedicated individual to provide full-time general administrative and office support, under the general supervision of the Assistant Village Manager/Community & Economic Development Director.
Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include coordinating and maintaining permitting processes and plan reviews with the Building Official, and scheduling and maintaining building inspections and records. The Administrative Assistant assists in preparation of memorandums, meeting minutes, agendas, and documents for execution; filing; mail opening/distribution; preparation and processing department bi/monthly/quarterly and/or annual reports and statistics; and processing accounts payable for the department. This position provides support to the Assistant Village Manager, Economic Development Coordinator, and Building Official. This position requires a high energy and personable individual with excellent customer interaction & telephone etiquette skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle multiple tasks and to be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess good office skills.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 6 yrs. professional office exp. performing similar duties preferred. Candidates must be proficient in the operation of a desktop computer; maintaining office records; operation of office equipment; and composing routine letters and memoranda without dictation.
