by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Trustees.
Scheduled Meeting Dates and Times
Regular Village Board Meetings of the Mayor and Board of Trustees are
held in the Village Hall Public Meeting Room on the second and fourth
Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Committee of the Whole Meetings of
the Village Board are held on the second and the fourth Monday of each
month immediately following the Regular Village Board Meeting. All
meetings are open to the public except for Executive Sessions. State
Statute allows them to be closed.
Town Meeting
An annual Town Meeting is held on the second Monday in May. Residents
are invited to come forward and ask any questions or make comments
about Lincolnshire.
Voting
At Regular Village Board meetings, the Mayor votes in the case of a tie,
where one-half of the elected Trustees have voted in favor of an ordinance,
resolution or motion even though there is no tie vote, or where a vote
greater than a majority of the Board of Trustees is required by Statute
to adopt an ordinance, resolution or motion. The Mayor may veto ordinances
passed by the Board. The veto may be overridden by a 2/3rds vote.
