2011 Citizen of the Year Nominations
Do you know an outstanding and dedicated volunteer
in Lincolnshire? Each year, many service organizations in the Village
of Lincolnshire
are fortunate to have many diligent volunteers provide countless
hours of service.
In keeping with the 29 year tradition recognizing
an individual for outstanding service to the community, the Lincolnshire
Community
Association is now accepting nominations for its annual Citizen
of the Year Award. Visit the LCA
website to submit
your nomination.
The Lincolnshire Community Association invites residents to take
this opportunity to nominate a person who has made a significant
contribution to Lincolnshire. This is a community award to
recognize, thank and honor those around us who make the quiet,
generous
contributions that make Lincolnshire a wonderful place to call
home.
The Citizen of the Year nominee should be a resident
who has volunteered their time in one or more community organizations
during the past
year and who has contributed to the overall good of the Village
without monetary gain; whose service or performance positively
contributes to the quality of life in Lincolnshire.
The Citizen of the Year will ride in the 4th of July parade, receive
a special memento to commemorate the honor, be recognized on the
permanent plaque in the Village Hall, and receive the opportunity
to recommend an LCA grant to the Lincolnshire non-profit organization
of their choice.
The deadline for all nominations is June 17, 2011. If you have
any questions, please contact Sandy Saltiel at (847) 940-1465.
