Gilmer Road will be closed at the Canadian National Railroad Crossing June 21 - June 25
The Canadian National Railroad will temporarily close the railroad crossing on Gilmer Road (County Route V-76) to all motor vehicle traffic. The closure is necessary to replace the existing 10-year-old crossing with a new rubber pad crossing. Local traffic will be allowed from Midlothian Road to the railroad crossing and from the railroad crossing to Diamond Lake Road (County Route V-75).
Dates: The closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. on June 21, and end at 8:00 p.m. on June 25.
Detour route: Midlothian Road, to IL Route 60/83, to Diamond Lake Road (County Route V-75).
