ATTENTION - TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE THIS WEEK
The contractor has informed us that he will be creating a new traffic pattern this week. They will be moving the southbound Riverwoods Road traffic to the west side of the road, onto the new pavement. Traffic on Everett Road going westbound will be switched to the north side of the road on the new pavement. Northbound Riverwoods Road and eastbound Everett Road traffic will remain the same. Please pay close attention to the traffic control measures, as these traffic pattern changes will take time to become accustom to.

The contractor is working in Stage 3 of the construction. Following the traffic pattern change, the contractor will begin removal of existing pavement and construction of the median areas that fall within the construction zone. Please pay close attention to the traffic control measures, as these construction activities can be distracting to drivers.

Village Staff continues to meet with County and the contractor on a regular basis to keep you updated with any new information that arises.

As a reminder, reduced speed limits will still be in effect in this and all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns and use caution, especially when workers are present. Police agencies have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise motorists of a $10,000 fine and 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker.
