Did you Know?
If you are considering installing a gazebo or any other permitted
detached accessory structure in your rear yard, the Village has
specific guidelines that need to be followed before these structures
can be built.
The Village defines a detached, accessory structure as an accessory
structure surrounded by open space, which is not physically attached
to the principal structure on the lot by means of a common foundation.
Before construction can begin, a completed Building Permit
Application needs to be submitted to the Village for review to
make sure that the proposed structure is compliant with the Village
Code. Codes pertaining to detached accessory structures can be
found under Title 6 - Chapter 3,
or a copy of the Code can be obtained at the Village Hall.
If you have any other questions pertaining to detached accessory
structures or any other property maintenance concerns, please
contact the Code Enforcement Inspector, Nicole Koleno, at 847-883-8600. |
