Garage Sales

A Garage Sale Permit must be obtained from the Department of Community Development no less than 48 hours prior to the start of any garage sale. There is a $50.00 refundable deposit required for the Garage Sale Permit and the permit process will provide the Village the ability to better track the location and frequency of such sales. The permit will also outline all applicable regulations which must be followed in the conduct of such garage sales.

The number of allowable garage sales at each residence is no more than two (2) in any calendar year. In addition, off-site directional signs to direct buyers to the location of the garage sale are permitted. There are regulations limiting the number and specifying the placement of signs. This information can be obtained through the Department of Community Development.

Penalties will be assessed against anyone leaving off-site directional signs displayed past 6:00 p.m. Please be respectful of your neighbors and maintain the beautiful entrances to Lincolnshire's wonderful neighborhoods!
