Resources Available
The resources below are available for public review and use
at Lincolnshire Village Hall, One Old Half Day Road.
Zoning Map
A map showing the address of all properties in the Village, along with the
zoning designation, streets and street names, and municipal boundaries.
Aerial Photographs
The Department of Community Development maintains a color aerial photograph
file that has coverage of the entire Village. The most recent maps were photographed
in April, 2000. Aerial maps from 1996, 1992, and 1982 are also available
with advanced notice.
Comprehensive Plan
The Village’s initial Comprehensive Plan was adopted in July, 1976, and presented
a road map for the Village’s continued growth, while also providing for maintenance
and improvements to the existing residential community. This document reviews
the comprehensive planning goals of the Village for growth and open space,
land uses, community facilities, and transportation systems. In 2000, the Village
completed an extensive update to the Comprehensive Plan to better address the
areas of the community which are expected to experience development or redevelopment
pressures over the next twenty years. The Update 2000 was officially approved
and adopted by the Mayor and Board of trustees on May 14, 2001.
Monthly Meeting Packets (Zoning Board and Architectural Review
Board)
Copies of the plan submittal packets for these meetings, including
Staff memos and petitioner’s supporting documentation, are
provided in the Department of Community Development reception
area. These packets are provided for public
viewing on the Monday prior to a Tuesday meeting and will remain on display
until the next monthly meeting.
Plats of Subdivision
The Department of Community Development maintains a plat file containing most
of the subdivisions of land that have taken place in the Village since incorporation.
These plats of subdivision can be useful in viewing the relationship of property
lines to streets, parks, conservancy areas, detention ponds and easements.
In many cases, approximate measurements of lot width, depth and area is provided
on these plats.
National Wetland Inventory/Lake County Wetland Inventory
Maps
A map file depicting the approximate area of established wetlands and suspected
wetlands (based on the type of soils, plants, and annual periods of water inundation)
is maintained in the Department of Community Development. These maps can be
used as a guide to determine the likelihood that wetlands are present on a
particular property. Village personnel are available to explain these maps
and how development of a property is affected. U.S. Census
The latest Census Profile Report of the Village
is available on the U.S.
Census Bureau website.
This online report provides a breakdown of Village residents’ age,
race, sex, citizenship, ancestry, family status, education,
employment status, income, and general housing characteristics. |
