Nature's Edge - Wildlife Survey Results - April
2005
Recently the Village requested your assistance in competing
a survey regarding wildlife in our community. This survey was
prepared to establish baseline data for use in comparing wildlife
activity from one year to the next and was an outgrowth from
numerous calls from residents expressing concern over wildlife
activity in the Village.
A total of 102 surveys were completed and returned to the Village.
Following is a summary of some of the data that was collected.

| A companion question to #1 was whether residents
observed multiple animals at a given time. The greatest majority
of comments indicated that most observations were multiple
animals. (The detailed breakdown on this information can
be provided upon request.) |

It is important to remember that because we live in such a beautiful
wooded community we need to be aware of our wildlife neighbors.
As surrounding property is developed we are likely to experience
more wildlife activity. Information on how to "live" with
wildlife will be included in upcoming Village Newsletters.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Village
at 847-883-8600. |
