The Village of Lincolnshire is served by the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District. The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District is led by Fire Chief Fred Kruger, who oversees a staff of 40 sworn staff and 5 civilian employees. 32 members of the district are state certified Paramedics and provide fire prevention, suppression, and advanced life support on emergency calls within the district and mutual aid to surrounding communities.

The district operates 3 stations:

• Station 51 at 115 Schelter Road, Lincolnshire
• Station 52 at 855 Saunders Road, Riverwoods
• Station 53 at 671 Woodlands Parkway, Vernon Hills

Various programs are offered to district residents at no charge; they include:

• Lifeline Emergency medical information cards
• Residential fire safety surveys
• Smoke detector surveys
• Child safety seat inspections and installation instruction

CPR classes are offered by the district on the first Wednesday of the month, and are available to all interested parties whether in district or not. Please call for an appointment.
