Burglar and Hold Up Alarm System

There are a variety of methods that alarm systems utilize to notify the police. These include Automatic Dialing, Central Station, and Direct Connect. The Lincolnshire Police Department does maintain an Alarm Panel. Burglar and holdup alarm systems must be registered with the Lincolnshire Police Department.

Section 9-1A-7 of the Lincolnshire Village Code states:

False Alarms: More than three (3) false alarms in any calendar year from any alarm system shall subject the alarm user as prescribed in the Comprehensive Fee Schedule set forth in Chapter 15 of Title 1 of this Code. (ord. Amd. 96-1469-53, eff. 12/9/96)

The fee schedule is as follows:

1-3 Alarms - No Charge
4-6 Alarms - $25.00 each
7-9 Alarms - $50.00 each
10-12 Alarms - $75.00 each
13 or more Alarms - $100.00 each
All Trouble Alarms - $10.00 after first three
All Alarm Repair Calls - No Charge

A violation of the Village Code may result in prosecution (penalty not to exceed $500.00).
