Crime Prevention Unit

The Police Department's Crime Prevention Unit is available at no-charge to assist and inform residents and businesses within the Village in a myriad of crime prevention tips and presentations.

The Police Department is available to provide timely information in the following areas: The latest scams in the area; Identity Theft issues and concerns; Residential security checks whereby we provide information on how to deter burglaries and thefts in your home or business; Drug and alcohol intervention/education for teens; School safety information for college-bound seniors; baby-sitting tips and regulations; Rules of the Road information; Domestic Battery issues and anger management intervention; Gang recognition and strategies; Cults and ritual information; Stranger-Danger information for children; and basically anything else you would need or need to know. If we don't have the information available, we would be more than happy to direct you to a resource that can help you. We are available to speak on an individual basis or to provide group presentations.

We also provide complimentary fingerprint services to residents and people who work in the Village.
