New Chief of Police Appointed
We are pleased to announce the
appointment of Peter Kinsey as our
new Chief of Police. Kinsey will
begin his duties with the Village on
June 6th.
Kinsey was selected from a strong
pool of over 60 candidates who had
submitted applications for the
position. He has more than 32 years
of law enforcement experience, with
over 30 with the Village of
Arlington Heights. He began his
career in Arlington Heights as a
Police Officer and progressively
enhanced his skills and experiences
through several promotions. Since
2007, he has served as the Police
Captain for the Administrative Services Division.
Kinsey has Bachelor’s and Master’s
Degrees from Western Illinois
University. He has furthered his
education at the Southern Police
Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.
Mayor Brett Blomberg stated that, "the Village Board was impressed
by Mr. Kinsey’s experience and
background and was unanimous in
its selection of Pete to be only the
third Chief of Police for
Lincolnshire since 1971."
Village Manager Bob Irvin said, "Pete has a wealth
of law
enforcement experience, to further
improve our already outstanding
Police Department. He will lead
the Department to effectively deliver
the law enforcement services that
our residents, businesses and visitors
deserve."
