July 1, 2010 On June 28, 2010, Village Staff attended a pre-construction meeting for the Riverwoods Road and Everett Road Intersection Improvement Project. The Lake County Division of Transportation project involves the construction of a roundabout to allow for the constant flow of traffic, which will dramatically benefit this high congestion intersection. The 2.5 million dollar project has been awarded to Greg Greenhill Construction. During the preconstruction meeting, the project schedule was discussed. The proposed start date for construction was July 6, 2010, and the proposed completion date was November 5, 2010. Obviously, this schedule may have to be adjusted due to the current Laborers and Operating Engineers strike. The Village Staff will be providing regular updates on this project, and will provide the new start/completion dates when they are given to us.
