Riverwoods Road and Everett Road Intersection Improvement Project

ATTENTION: Intersection Closure Ending November 11th

On behalf of the Lake County Division of Transportation and the Contractor, we would like to thank you for your patience during this closure.

The contractor and the County have informed the Village the intersection will be reopened for traffic late Wednesday, November 10th. However, please continue to use the detour until Thursday, November 11th, as they will be opening the intersection as soon as the work required is completed, which may be later in the evening.

The plan we provided before the closure remains in effect. While this schedule is obviously weather dependent, daily lane closures may be necessary to touch up restorations or do minor punch list items after the intersection is reopened. Aside from the minor cleanup work, installation of signs, etc, the bulk of the work remaining will be suspended through the winter. The Contractor will remobilize in the spring to complete the landscaping and the final lighting work, but that work should only require day time lane closures, allowing the intersection to be fully operational during those operations.

Village Staff continues to meet with County and the contractor on a regular basis to keep you updated with any new information that arises. If you have concerns regarding how to maneuver through a roundabout, the County has useful information regarding roundabouts that can be viewed on their website.
