2010 Street Rehabilitation Project
July 1, 2010
As you may have already noticed, the contractor has completed
the final surface course. The Village Staff and the contractor
will travel the project and prepare a punch list of items yet to
be
completed such as placing some pavement markings and some minor
odds and ends that seem to come up on large projects such as this.
These issues should be completely resolved shortly, depending on
the outcome of the recent Laborer and Operating Engineer's strike.
As a reminder, the restoration work that was completed
will need to be watered by the individually affected residents.
As we have informed you in previous newsletters, please contact
us if you believe something was
missed on your property. This phase of the project will bring
to an end the 2010 MFT Road Resurfacing Project. We want to thank
Curran Contracting for their efforts and the Village Residents
affected by the construction for their
cooperation and patience.
This update will be the last one provided for this
project unless there is a significant issue that arises. We believe
that with the placement of a new wearing surface, the roadway will
continue
to perform for years to come. On behalf of the Village Staff, Curran
Contracting, and all the subcontractors, we thank you for all of
your patience
and cooperation throughout what has been another successful
project.
If you have any questions regarding final punch
list items, please contact Rob Horne at 847.913.2366 between 8:30
a.m.
and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
