Vehicle Maintenance

The Village owns a wide variety of equipment specially tailored to provide the required regular and emergency services to the community.

The Vehicle Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 63 Village-owned vehicles and heavy equipment owned by the Village. Examples of this include sewer flusher, portable pumps, heavy equipment, salt spreaders and snowplows as well as dump trucks and police vehicles. In addition, this division also maintains the seven stand-by generators that supply emergency power to the water reservoirs and sanitary sewer lift stations.

We monitor each vehicle's performance for fuel consumption and maintenance costs in order to provide the most cost efficient and effective vehicle operation. These efforts allow us to schedule replacement in a timely manner.
