Q: Does Lincolnshire have a Park District?
A: No, however, the Division of Recreation operates under the Public Works Department.
Q: Does the Village of Lincolnshire have a Public Pool?
A: No, however, Spring Lake is a wonderful, natural alternative.
Q: What are the Daily Fees for Spring Lake Beach?
A: For the 2008 season, Daily Fees for Residents of Lincolnshire are $3.00
per person and
$6.00 per person for Non Residents.
Q: May I fish in Spring Lake?
A: Yes, on the east west side of the lake, opposite of the swimming side. Please
contact the
Illinois Department of Natural Resources for more information.
Q: When is the Registration Deadline for the Cardboard
Boat Regatta Race on July 4th?
A: The Registration Deadline is June 1st of that year.
Q: The Online Recreation Website is not showing up, what’s
wrong?
A: Try typing it without the “WWW” at the beginning or try accessing
the link on the Recreation main page.
Q: I'm trying to register online
for a class that starts in a few days but the system is not
allowing me, why?
A: The Registration system closes online registration about a week before the
program
begins. If you would like to register a few days before a program begins, please
call
ahead to make sure that program is still open. You may fax in your registration
or stop
by Village Hall.
Q: When registering for Summer programs, do I sign my
child up for the grade they are going in
to or the grade they are currently in?
A: For the grade they will be attending in the Fall.
Q: Does the Village prorate for missed classes?
A: No, according to policy, the Village does not prorate programs for absences
or late
registrations. If an instructor is ill or a class has to be cancelled because
of Village or
instructor problems, the Village will provide a make-up class or refund for
those classes
missed.
Q: Where should I park when attending Recreation programs
at Village Hall?
A: There are a few spots set aside for Visitor Parking near the front entrance
of Village Hall.
If these spots are taken, visitors should park in the parking lot on the west
end of the
property next to the pond.
Q: What does R/NR mean next to the prices?
A: "R" means Resident of Lincolnshire and “NR” means
Non-Resident
of Lincolnshire.
Q: Does the Village offer Open Gym?
A: Yes, Open Gym is offered on Sundays during Fall and Winter at the Half Day
School
Gyms from 12:30-3:30pm.
Q: Is Spring Lake Sports League part of the Village of
Lincolnshire?
A: No, the Spring Lake Sports League is for all children who reside in the
School District
103 boundaries (whether they go to those public schools or not). District 103
covers all of
Lincolnshire & Prairie View and parts of Lake Forest, Riverwoods, Buffalo
Grove and
Vernon Hills communities. It's an All Volunteer Community Organization.
