Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC)
The Village of Lincolnshire is a member of a cooperative that
provides recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities
and their families. Communities or park districts which are members
of SRACLC are:
- Village of Libertyville
- Village of Lake Zurich
- Village of Hawthorn Woods
- Park District of Vernon Hills
- Park District of Mundelein
- Park District of Grayslake
The benefit of this cooperative membership is the ability to meet
the recreational needs of a wide variety of ages, disabilities,
and needs. The Village provides recreational programs for all of
its residents. If a resident with a disability wishes to participate
in a Village recreational program, the Village, according to the
American's with Disabilities Act, must accommodate their needs
so they are able to attend the Village program. SRACLC will provide
skilled inclusion aids for residents wishing to take a Village
program making that possible. In addition, SRACLC provides more
than 450 recreational programs and activities for individuals with
disabilities.
